Our British Norwegian founder James spent his childhood summers on the tiny island fishing community of Veiholmen, northwest Norway. It’s there that his passion for produce began, pulling in lobster pots and fishing nets with his family and enjoying seafood minutes from the water, under the gaze of white tipped eagles.
Wanting to share this “minutes from the water” experience with chefs in London, James, together with his co-founder Alex, launched an exclusive seafood company supplying London’s elite restaurant market. The company grew swiftly and at its height was supplying a combined 50-Michelin-stars across the capital, until the COVID pandemic hit.
Like many companies that had to adapt during this challenging period, SKANDL pivoted and began supporting private clients at home. What started as an underground seafood club for many of London’s most passionate food lovers has since grown into a thriving business curating culinary experiences and supporting clients at home, on the sea and in the skies.
Whilst the SKANDL brand has diversified over the years, premium, traceable produce and excellent food will always remain at the heart of everything we do, whether that's serving fine-dining meals in a private jet or hosting on our superyacht at the Monaco Grand Prix.
