SKANDL started as a supplier of unique seasonal ingredients to London’s sought after restaurants holding a combined 50- Michelin Stars. Since then, we have been on an incredible journey of food and adventure.

What a skandl

Our British Norwegian founder James spent his childhood summers on the tiny Island fishing community of Veiholmen, northwest Norway. It’s here where his passion for produce begun, pulling in lobster pots and fishing nets with his family and enjoying seafood minutes from the water under the gaze of white tipped eagles.

He wanted to share this experience of seafood minutes from the water with chefs in London and together with Alex his co-founder, they launched a unique seafood company supplying the elite restaurant market. Their company swiftly grew and at their height were supplying a combined 50-Michelin-stars across the capital, until COVID arrived.

 Like many companies during that challenging period SKANDL diversified and began supporting private clients at home. What started as an underground seafood club that attracted many of London’s most passionate food lovers, has since grown into a a thriving food and lifestyle brand supporting clients at home, on the sea and in the skies.

Whilst the SKANDL brand may have grown over the years, pristine, seasonal produce will always remain at the heart of everything we do, and we hope to further develop this connection with nature through the launch of our own Market Garden, regeneratively growing # fresh produce for you to enjoy.
